Team Asteria wins at Drone Olympics, Aero India 2019!

The Government of India organised an international level competition – the ‘Drone Olympics’ for the first time in the country, at Aero India 2019. It was organized by Ministry of Defence, to encourage the UAV industry to connect with potential buyers and business partners in the country and also provide an opportunity to the Armed Forces to assess the capabilities of UAVs , the role of which is ever-increasing in the defence  sectors, making them the ideal platform for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, electronic warfare and strike missions.

Asteria’s Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) made a spectacular entry at the Aero-India 2019 with the first ever ‘Drone Olympics’ competition for UAV’s held at Air Force Station, Yelahanka, Bengaluru.

We received an overwhelming response for participating in the competition from the audience who were present to witness the spectacular show. The competition saw several innovative solutions and use of the latest technological advancements by the participants.

There were various challenges like the surveillance competition, supply drop and formation flying challenges to assess the military capabilities of the drones and their reconnaissance and camouflage abilities under various conditions. We participated in the surveillance and Security category and won the 2nd runner up prize.

It was a great opportunity for all the UAV manufacturing entities and enthusiasts to showcase their indigenous drone capabilities. We look forward for
